Before our Go LIVE date, we want to be sure we can handle just about anything anyone throws at us. So, we have taken a lot of data gathered on usage during the 6+ month BETA period and we've defined the specs we will need to make our service more responsive than other providers while simultaneously maintaining a quick delivery on new requests.

This is a lofty goal and we're already getting feedback that we're faster than anyone else on the market. Well, hold on to your hats, because we're going to be migrating our primary delivery server and main website to a machine that is more than 50x as powerful! We're also prepared -with only a few days notice- to cluster and effectively double or triple that, if it ever becomes necessary.

Plus, we're separating out much of the PRO features to its own, beefy dedicated server to ensure the free service is always light-years beyond everyone else's paid service. Smile

These two, mega-servers are in addition to the ten(10) dedicated servers we will have generating thumbnails by the start of next week. So, I think we'll be in good shape moving forward. Thanks to Mike and Frank for getting these going!!

The only key is in building the community and getting the support of webmasters to spread the word and find those people who want the PRO upgrades so that we can pay the hefty bills. Wink

But, don't worry... I'm not over-doing it... I am excellent at budgeting and planning and we have an aggressive plan that I think will be easy to meet by the end of 2008. With your help, we'll ALL be a success! I even have plans to help drive quality webmaster traffic to your sites! (more on that after we launch!)

Mostly, I mention this migration to alert you that there may be some downtime over the upcoming weeks. The thumbnails themselves "may" even go offline, but we have planned well and taken great measures to help ensure that there will be ZERO downtime at all. However, I like to prepare customers --just in case Murphy's law comes in to play.

Best regards,

Brandon
