To keep the newsletter brief and concise, I put a link to this page to give any details to those who are interested. However, even this page will be a summarization, with links to each dedicated announcement. That way, you control the level of detail you will see.
If you are subscribed to the "Maintenance Notifications" list, then you have likely seen some or all of these. At any rate, a LOT has gone on in the past 6-12 months. Here's an overview:

- Feb 2016: The forum has been revived and cleaned up (share your thoughts!)
- Feb 2016: Blocking of search bots, web crawlers, site scrapers, and attempted theft
- Jan 2016-Mar 2016: Numerous system improvements and (obscure) bug fixes
Overcame numerous network, routing, and DNS issues
Added new detection for invalid encoding and updated related knowledgebase articles
Ensure matching output method on database error
Fix for unsupported redirects (BLANK_DETECTED)
More reliable "capture time" reporting after migrating to distributed server farm - Feb 2016: Increased our support of non-English character sets in screen caps
- Feb 2016: Updated the sample code (v2.0.6 & v2.0.7) and updated documentation
- Aug 2015-Nov 2016: Redesigned our web page capture technology
- Aug 2015-2016: Took over and updated the Drupal ShrinkTheWeb Screenshot module
- Nov 2015-Feb 2016: Optimized and enhanced our delivery scripts

Whew! That's a lot... too much, perhaps, but we have been extremely busy and wanted to let you know that we are working diligently to build the best web page screenshot service available. There is a lot more going on behind-the-scenes, but that would REALLY bore you! lol. It's mostly integrations work, custom integrations, and little improvements here and there.
If you have an idea for a new feature or service enhancement, please Suggest a Feature.
And, if you LOVE ShrinkTheWeb, please take a moment to log in and give us a quick testimonial (and maybe even share us on Facebook!). If you have never left feedback, there will be a link shown as soon as you log in.
Thank you so much for being a loyal ShrinkTheWeb user!
